Three Williamson Co Schools Nominated for National Blue Ribbon School Award

Six Tennessee schools, including Hillsboro School, Kenrose Elementary and Trinity Elementary in Williamson County, have been nominated for the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School Award.

This year, only elementary schools could be nominated. These schools must now apply for the award. Applications will undergo two rounds of review to ensure quality, accuracy and eligibility.

The Department of Education will announce the National Blue Ribbon Schools in September.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private schools that are either high-performing or have improved student achievement to high levels.

“This school year, we’ve adopted the ‘Hot Tamales’ theme because of our sizzling student achievement and red-hot academic growth,” said Kari Miller, Principal of Hillsboro.
